I'm assuming top specs are the "new" machine (why the strike outs?) and bottom is your current machine? The 1050 should be fine for 60 FPS FHD and perhaps 25/30 FPS 4K editing (perhaps with proxies and transcoding needed for some CODECS that aren't edit-friendly), but the 2GB VRAM is going to severely bottleneck you in software like AfterEffects and HitFilm when you try to do things beyond "basic." DDR3 1600 MHz RAM is what you're expect in a Late Model entry-level 21.5" iMac. CPU is old, and had very bad single-thread performance compared to recent Intel CPUs. Can Hitfilm handle with Big-Mama-Videos with at least 10 Gigabytes up to 27 GBytes (or Bigger?) per File (a bunch of Hours of Gameplays, FHD 1080p 30 FPS minimum / 60 FPS Standard as MP4) and Separate Microphone Recordings as a separate File with over 240 Megabytes (320 kbps / M4A)ġ. Are this specs ready for Full 3D-Compositing and Matte Painting with 3D-Layers based on the "Parallax"-Feature in Hitfilm Express and Adobe After EffectsĢ. This my actual PC - A taste of the Times where the "LED-Lighted" PC was beginning their Lightshow with their LEDs!ġ. Monitors: 2x FHD 22" Screens Eyefinity enabled Dual Monitor Setup and 1x 19" Old Square I am get the old PC from a Friend with a good Perfomance: GPU: ASUS Phoenix Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 / 2GB GDDR5 VRAM Official announcement of my system specifications of the new PC are as followed:ĬPU: AMD FX-4300 4 x 3.8 GHz / 4.0 GHz in Turbo-Mode To the Developers: Very Good Work and a lot of Thanks to the Developers to develop a better Software than After Effects with a Community-Connected Network of Filmmakers from Amateurs to Pros! But Hitfilm needs more CPU-Perfomance, give it them and all will be Fluid! P.S.: I am will buy me the Pro-Version from Hitfilm with the first money of the first Month of working at 2018 when i am start a job - Hitfilm Pro is Worth to Buy! I can now work with Hitfilm - My primary Video Editor everyday! Problem Solved partially - but runs more better as before // Quick said: Misconfiguration in the Driver I have created a Application-Profile inside the nVidia Control-Panel and turn off all prefomance hungry setting or set to "Use Application Setting" - And now Hitfilm runs much better The Issue was: I have set up my nVidia-Driver to maximum Quality which has slowing down the Perfomance of Hitfilm and causes the Crashes caused from the Drivers settings which was too high for Hitfilm I have Solved the Issue partially and i can now run Hitfilm with good perfomance I am normally working on huge comps with lots of layers and effects beacuse the results of the comps i am produce must be and rendered with the highest possible professional quality because i am work with the concept "Either as professionally as possible or garbage" I am not able to buy a new PC or Hardware because: Stress in my Family + No empleyement possible in a business = No Money! GPU: Zotac Geforce GTX 770 4 GB R.I.P. Web browsers and games also use the GPU you cannot expect them to run well at the same Yes the usage efficiency is horrible - its not possible to work with Hitfilm on bigger comps with lots of multiple composite shots, layers, effects and other multiple files "When i am exporting multiple files Hitfilm stucks, the overall Perfomance will slow down and all other Application like Firefox or minimized Online-Games will be also slow down and crashing while Hitfilm stucks"Īgain, HitFilm uses your GPU for almost everything, including export. If a city's road system was constantly gridlocked with traffic, I would not assume that the road system was efficiently designed nor would I want to live there!Īs Triem pointed out already, HitFilm primarily uses your system's GPU for rendering in which case I would expect the CPU to be idle most of the time while it waits for the results. I'm actually quite surprised that so many people are using CPU utilization as an indicator of performance. HitFilm can access as much RAM as you can cram into your PC.ĬPU utilization, as reported by the Task Manager, has virtually no correspondance with perceived performance poorly written inefficient application may use (waste) more CPU time performing the same tasks as efficiently written applications. HitFilm is a fully 64bit application and has been since the very beginning.Ī 64bit CPU is not inherently faster than a 32bit CPU it can merely access more memory.
